Practising exclusively criminal law in Toronto and the GTA for OVER 30 YEARS, Steve started out as a Crown Attorney from 1984-1989, at Old City Hall, Toronto, the busiest courthouse in Canada. Conducting trials in Provincial Court, and Superior Court, often in front of a jury, Steve gained valuable trial experience and negotiation skills daily.
Steve has continued in the private practise of Criminal Law since then, in association with other similarly dedicated professionals. From the Bail Hearing stage , to resolution or trial, Steve is well-known for his excellent grasp of the law, his tactics and communication skills with clients and other Criminal justice participants

Steve comes by his love of the law honestly: his father was Chief Justice of the District Court of Ontario back in the '80s. Steve studied law at Osgoode Hall Law School (1982 graduate), after receiving a BA with Honours from University of Toronto (St. Michaels College) in 1979. Called to the Ontario bar in 1984, Criminal Law has been his focus ever since.
Steve played pro hockey for 5 years back in the 70s, in the International Hockey League, including a stint with the Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL) in 1977. While completing his studies upon his return to Toronto, he played OHA Sr. A for another 5 years, in Whitby and Georgetown, where he was the captain of the Canadian championship Raiders in 1982. He will fight for your rights!
Steve has flexible hours at his downtown office (the Sheraton Centre, across from Nathan Phillips Square, and City Hall). He often meets clients at other convenient locations around the GTA, and his fees are negotiable, and subject to reasonable payment plans.
From shoplifting to murder charges, there is little Steve hasn't seen in his 30+ years.
